Klein is currently a Professor and Extension Engineer at the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. At Purdue, his research interests are grain and crop post-harvest technology, powder technology, and biomass feedstock systems engineering. He leads the grain post-harvest and renewable energy and energy efficiency extension programs in ABE.
Klein holds a B.Eng (with honors, 1992) in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. He earned his Master of Professional Studies (1996) in Applied Economics and Business Management from a joint program between the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra, Slovakia, and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. His Ph.D. (1998) was obtained in Agricultural Engineering from the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra.
Prior to his current job at Purdue, Klein was a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Minnesota (1999-2001) and Purdue University (2001-2004), working on grain quality.
